Broke my heart knowing I may not be able to get XP, but I shouldn't really complain. After all, this is an early christmas present that my dad slaved to get working for me. And I am truly grateful for this, too. Now me and my brother won't ever have to fight like cats and dogs on who gets to use the computer at a certain time. Well, unless we have to use it to print off reports and projects, considering the printer that came with my computer isn't working at this exact moment. On a different note now. Don't you just hate it when a parent, relative, friend, or whatever tells you how much one of your presents costs? Birthday or christmas? It just spoils the whole concept of what the present is going to be. It ruins the whole surprise of wondering what it is! My brother and mom are especially gifted with this talent. They ruin EVERYTHING. "Oh, did you know that I bought you a 200 dollar christmas present?" <- Quote, my mom. Gee, like I wanted to know that. Sure, now I'm a little giddy over what this present is going to be, but still. It ruins the entire element of surprise. Besides the whole 'How Much Your Present Is' ordeal, my brother is especially talented with using different sorts of methods to ruin surprises. Such as this one: "You're going to have a good christmas. Mom bought you all kinds of EXPENSIVE presents." Notice I capitalized the word expensive. That's a big giveaway. I just want to tape his mout shut before he ruins the last 4 days. |
