Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, all! Hope you had an awesome day. Here's some of the presents that I got this year:

PS2 + 4 Games (Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy X-2, Ratchet and Clank, Spyro.)
Nintendo DS + Game (Super Mario DS)
Some Clothes
Working Internet (This was early.)
DVD

That's basically about it, though I might get a new TV. Mine basically fried on me the other day.

Christmas Eve - Yay!

Y'know, I just realized something today. Well, two things actually.

a.) My sleeping pattern is messed up - majorly.
b.) I sleep too much.

Why? Well, I guess staying up until 2 am and sleeping at various times during the day doesn't exactly help in terms of planning out my day. I hate it when I'm just sitting on my bed, and then I let myself fall onto it, staring at the ceiling.

Then eventually, I wake up about 2 hours later, either to my dad, my brother, my radio, or whatever just happens to wake me up at the time. It's been like this for about the past week or so. I'd better get myself in gear and change this before school starts again.

Otherwise, I'll be doomed.

But anyways, I got to open one present tonight. And it was from my grandma. However, I wasn't expecting that she put the wrong tags on the presents. When I opened it, I got my brothers present - a Playstation 2 game. And he got my DVD.

So we gave each other our proper gifts, and I went to my room to watch my new movie - The Day After Tomorrow.

Sweeeet. =D

Shopping Days

Last time I'm ever going to go shopping for a while, let me say that now. Not because of how friggin' busy all the stores are, but because of how much shopping we had to get done! Not to mention a few other things to get my mom and grandma, making our christmas shopping for this year completed.

All the presents we decided to pick out were some candles, bath salts, among other things. I was the one who ended up carrying it all, turns out. So by the time we got everything paid for and put into bags, I ended up like smelling all of what I was carrying. I didn't enjoy it, because the smells were so strong ..

And then afterwards, to top it off, I end up taking a 2 hour nap. And before I even went shopping, basically all I did was sleep .. I must need to see a doctor, or something.

Wonderful Day .. Not!

Everyone has those friends that like to make complete idiots of themselves in public, right? Or at least try to make themselves noticeable in a completely stupid and idiotic way? I know I do.

Today, my friend Rick phoned me and asked me if I wanted to go to the pool with him. Deciding to get out of the house for a change, I eagerly accepted his invitation. I awaited for him to come and pick me up, so I turned my radio on full blast and listened to some music until he did.

And so, eventually, he arrives, but in the middle of a really good song. So I was slightly annoyed, but I decided that there would be another time for that. So, off we went.

On the way there, I thought I was going to die, or something close to it. He has a 2 year old brother, so we had to listen to little kid songs on the way there. I really wonder how he's able to live with it.

Not too much more time passed before we arrived at the pool. We both go get changed, and I find him waiting for me just outside of the men's change rooms. First thing he makes a comment on, which is why I point out that he makes such a moron out of himself in public, is about all the people dubbed as 'fat' that he is seeing.

I think he said it enough times to get the whole concept drilled right into my brain. I understood it, yes, but he repeated it anyways. One time he must have said it loud enough for people to hear it. Quite embarassing to be around him at this time, as you can clearly see.

After about an hour, we decide to start heading home. But his mom couldn't pick us up, so we had to start walking home, dripping slightly, in -20 degree weather. It was a half hour walk, and I wasn't exactly prepared. Rick offered me his jacket, thank goodness. He's used to walking in subzero temperatures, he told me. I thanked him, and so we made our way home.

Halfway home, there was a point where my legs were completely numb, I felt like I had no ears, and my face literally stung, and I was so cold that I had little drips of snot hanging down my nose .. Since I forgot to dry my hair before I left, it basically hardened. You could see little bits of ice on it as well. If you tried to touch it, it felt pretty icy. And being the idiot I am, I decide to see if it snaps.

Sure, enough it does. Mom wasn't exactly pleased.

Little Thoughts

Can it be true? Is it possible? Well, it appears that it is. My dad finally got the internet working in my room on my poor little Windows ME computer. It's working just fine, but it's sure going to take some getting used to. I'm used to always being on a Windows XP. I may not be able to get my ME upgraded to an XP, so let's hope that I can survive, yes?

Broke my heart knowing I may not be able to get XP, but I shouldn't really complain. After all, this is an early christmas present that my dad slaved to get working for me. And I am truly grateful for this, too. Now me and my brother won't ever have to fight like cats and dogs on who gets to use the computer at a certain time. Well, unless we have to use it to print off reports and projects, considering the printer that came with my computer isn't working at this exact moment.

On a different note now.

Don't you just hate it when a parent, relative, friend, or whatever tells you how much one of your presents costs? Birthday or christmas? It just spoils the whole concept of what the present is going to be. It ruins the whole surprise of wondering what it is! My brother and mom are especially gifted with this talent. They ruin EVERYTHING.

"Oh, did you know that I bought you a 200 dollar christmas present?" <- Quote, my mom.

Gee, like I wanted to know that. Sure, now I'm a little giddy over what this present is going to be, but still. It ruins the entire element of surprise. Besides the whole 'How Much Your Present Is' ordeal, my brother is especially talented with using different sorts of methods to ruin surprises. Such as this one:

"You're going to have a good christmas. Mom bought you all kinds of EXPENSIVE presents."

Notice I capitalized the word expensive. That's a big giveaway. I just want to tape his mout shut before he ruins the last 4 days.

Pointless Ranting

There's some people that can drive, but let's face it - there are those who can't. Either that, or they're just plain blind and they don't really give a crap for other people on the road, or just your typical pedestrian, like me for example.

Okay, so onto my main point. I'm about to cross the road, after my little trip to the store. Some vehicles are coming from one direction as I am about to cross. Figuring I'm going to make it across without becoming a hood ornament for the van that's approaching, I decide to start making my way to the other side. Boy, did I ever have another thing coming. I set foot onto the road, and the guy comes to a complete stop. And so, he decides to let me cross. But as soon as I make it about halfway across the road, he honks his bloody horn!

Why? Well, I guess I can understand why, but how was I supposed to know that he wasn't going to let me across before he stopped? Maybe I jumped to conclusions much too quickly. Maybe it was the person behind the van for making such a sudden stop. But nonetheless, I guess I started it. The snowy winter weather wouldn't have been helping matters either.

I was paying attention, despite the fact that I had my MP3 player with me, cranked at full blast. I wanted to scream at him, or apologize, but I wasn't in the mood for that. I had to get back home and into my room before someone figured I was gone. I couldn't help it, but the craving for pop was getting bigger and bigger with each passing second, and I wanted to get it out of the way before it drove me insane.

Besides, I can't take my dad's pop. He'd have a fit.
